The Lamborghini Aventador was named after a prize-winning Spanish bull bred by the sons of Don Celestino Cuadri Vides. This valiant animal was finally killed in battle by a torero in a famous and bloody battle in Zaragoza, Spain. The heroic battle by the bull was enough to earn it the Trofeo de la Peña La Madroñera for outstanding courage in 1993. Lamborghini took every effort to make their hypercar just as powerful and audacious as its namesake.
With 700 hp under the hood, the Lamborghini Aventador just emits power. It sports a brand new 700 PS 6.5 litre 60° V12 engine developed in-house at Lamborghini. Flying from 0-60 in under 3 seconds, this hypercar will make you feel like you’re flying, literally. The automobile was designed at the Centro Stile Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese, and the team took their influences from the quickest and most agile aircraft in modern aeronautics. The result is an incredibly sleek and dominant exterior that instantly demands control of any road it’s on.
Getting behind the wheel of the Aventador feels just like climbing into the cockpit of an f22 fighter jet. Using cutting-edge technology, Lamborghini has developed what they call an incredible “Human-Machine Interface.” One large LCD screen displays the instrumentation of the vehicle, while a separate LCD screen and system regulate the navigation and stereo functions. With front-line technology at your fingertips attached to the most powerful V12 engine that Lamborghini offers, the feeling of control you’ll find in the driver’s seat is unparalleled in the automotive industry.
Stephen Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini boasted that “The Aventador is a jump of two generations in terms of design and technology… It is extreme in its design and its performance, uncompromising in its standards and technology, and unmistakably Italian in its style and perfection.” This confidence and audacity is what drives Lamborghini, and their Aventador model to the forefront of the super sports car industry.
